The Government does seem to be committed to getting the pensions message out there. The Pensions Service has a wealth of leaflets it can send out to explain more about how all the different schemes work.



Its website is www.thepensionservice.gov.uk or you can ring it on 0845 6060265. The last part of the phone number is a clever reminder of the other big change that is due to pensions – the gradual rise in the pension age for women from 60 to 65. This will take place gradually from 2010 onwards. Again Pension Service staff can give more information on the implications of the change.
